GREATER JACKSONVILLE AMATEUR RADIO OPERATOR OF THE YEAR
AWARD
Todd Lovelace, K1KVA is the 2007 Greater Jacksonville Amateur Radio
Operator of the Year. Todd was selected in voting by eleven electors on November 13th. He was cited for organizing and
participating in Field Day and Scouting Jamboree On The Air. Todd assists
with maintaining the W4IZ repeaters and is active with ARES. He has
helped several hams get on the air from difficult locations and assisted
many others.
The award is named in honor of Pete Nissen, W4PTT and sponsored by
the North Florida Amateur Radio Society, Jacksonville RANGE Assn.,
Southeast Emergency Digital Assn. Network, Florida Radio Electronics
Enthusiasts and Rufus Williams, KI4BVM. Electors voting were W4LTJ, N4UF,
WA4B, KD4UJK, WB4YTJ, KC4ZGH, KC4ZFV, WB3DBE, KE4IOR, W4EMN, KC4ZGE.
Todd will receive an engraved plaque. He is the fifteenth Greater
Jacksonville Amateur Radio Operator of the Year.
The Greater Jacksonville Amateur Radio Operator of the Year Award is
presented each December to the operator who best represents our tradition
of public service, assistance to others and to the Amateur Radio community.
Ballots are cast by electors during the third week in November.
