WWD NETS MEET EACH MONDAY
The Wacky Wing Ding (WWD) Net meets each Monday at 7:30PM on 28.390 MHz. (plus or minus 5 KHz.) on 10 meter voice.
At 8PM, the VHF/UHF WWD net starts on the W4IZ 146.7/444.4 MHz Repeater System.
The WWD traces its beginning back to Spring 1957 when what is now the North Florida Amateur Radio Society was organized as the Wacky Wing Ding Society at a backyard cookout on Chaseville Road.
WWD BASIC CERTIFICATE
The NOFARS Wacky Wing Ding Society certificate is available to those Amateur Radio operators who contact seven (7) certificate holders.
The certificate is FREE for NOFARS members and costs $1 for non-members.
Certificates will be presented at a NOFARS meeting. If mailing of certificate is desired, please include a self-addressed stamped envelope or $1 extra.
No specific application form is required. List the 7 WWD certificate holders that were contacted by call sign, operators first name and WWD number.

THE CURRENT NUMBERING SERIES BEGAN IN 1975. FROM 1957 UNTIL THE LATE 60s AROUND 40 CERTIFICATES WERE ISSUED, SOME WITH CONFLICTING NUMBERS. THE WWD PROGRAM WAS DORMANT FROM THE LATE 60s UNTIL 1975.

ENDORSEMENT APPLICATION PROCEDURES
WWD endorsements are issued for contact with 25, 50, 75, 100, 125, 150, 175, 200 different WWD certificate holders and in additional increments of 25.
When applying for endorsements, please send a cumulative log listing all contacts. Give the call, first name and certificate number for each beginning with your first WWD contact.
Endorsements will be presented at a NOFARS meeting. If mailing of endorsement sticker(s) is desired, please include a self-addressed stamped envelope (SASE).

WWD NET CONTROL ENDORSEMENT STICKER
A new endorsement sticker is available to those who have served as Net Control Station on the WWD nets during at least ten sessions. These will be presented at the March 11th NOFARS meeting at Ed White High School. There is no charge for this sticker. So far, these operators have been certified to receive the sticker: WB4YTJ, N4WYA, N4XED, WH2AAT, KG4FET. Others are requested to send an e-mail to email@example.com or a note by postal mail to P.O. Box 9673; Jacksonville, FL 32208. Those not attending the March meeting can receive their endorsement by enclosing a self-addressed, stamped envelope.
Net controls on both the ten meter and VHF/UHF nets are eligible for this endorsement.
